This workshop explores practical, compassionate ways to support LGBTQIA+ clients, addressing challenges shaped by trauma, family dynamics, and societal prejudice. Participants will gain tools and insights to create affirming, culturally sensitive therapeutic spaces.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Practical, compassionate and collaborative support for LGBTQIA+ clients

  • Treat systemic & personal trauma using Schema Therapy informed strategies

  • Combat political & existential doom creatively and playfully in therapy

  • Incorporate transformative justice, queer histories, and futuristic ideas into Imagery Rescripting, Chairwork, Limited Reparenting and other trauma processing

  • Interactive & Inclusive: Suitable for all experience levels; no prior Schema Therapy knowledge required.

  • Supportive & Hands-On: Role plays, demonstrations, and case discussions tailored to LGBTQIA+ experiences in a small, nonjudgmental group.

The course is open to all mental health practitioners who are currently working with or interested in working with LGBTQ+ clients. No prior experience with Schema Therapy is necessary.
